PRESCRIPTION ORDERING

The collection time for prescriptions is 2 working days from the day of ordering. This does not include bank holidays or weekends.

Help us to help you:

• Order your prescription in good time & only order what you need
• Remember orders received outside working hours will be taken as received the next working day
• For all medication requests you will need to provide your name, address, date of birth and a list of all the medication names you require
• Medication requests from hospital discharge / outpatient letters will be processed within 24 hours
• Where possible, please nominate a pharmacy to collect your prescription from the practice 
• The practice has a strict policy on the prescribing of addictive drugs

Repeat Medication

Requests for repeat prescriptions (regular medication) should be ordered in one of the following ways:

• Telephone the automated prescription line on 02890 606949
• E-mail your repeat requests to: reception.z00222@gp.hscni.net  
• On-line using the Patient Access Service. If you have not yet signed up for an Patient  Access account please contact reception for details.

PRESCRIPTION COLLECTIONS

The collection time for prescriptions is 2 working days from the day of ordering. This does not include bank holidays or weekends.

To collect your prescription you can:

Nominate A Pharmacy

• You may nominate ONE pharmacy to collect ALL your prescriptions - both repeat and acute items
• Your prescriptions will ONLY be collected by your nominated pharmacy - this will save you a trip to the practice
• You will need to tell the pharmacy each time you place an order with us
• They can collect your prescription after 2 working days
• Please allow time for the pharmacy to prepare your medication before you collect it
• Please do not telephone or call in to check on the progress of your prescription if it is within 72 hours of your request

Collect in Person

• Collect your prescription from the practice 2 working days after you place your order

• Please Note:

• Please do not come early to collect your prescription
• Anyone collecting prescriptions for Controlled Drugs will be required to sign the right hand side of the script to confirm collection
• Prescriptions will not be handed out to children under 16 years  

SICK LINE REQUESTS

Self-Certification

• Your first 7 days of absence should be self-certified using an SSP1 Form available on the website: nidirect.gov.uk - Sick pay rights | nidirect

First Sick Line

• You need to book a routine telephone appointment to request a sick line

Repeat Sick Lines

Repeat sick lines can be ordered:

• By e-mail through our repeat prescription e-mail address: reception.z00222@gp.hscni.net
• By telephone, if you do not have access to e-mail please telephone the surgery and speak to a receptionist

 You will need to give your:

• Name
• Address
• Date of birth
• Date when you wish to continue your repeat sick line from
• Length of line requested
