Appointments
Home Visits

The surgery offers a mixture of routine, urgent and telephone consultations.  Appointments are for 10 minutes, one appointment per patient. If you require longer with the doctor, please ask for a double appointment.

Routine Appointments: Routine appointments are available daily and may be booked either by phone or in person at the surgery. Where possible, patients will be allocated an appointment with the GP or clinician of their choice however, patients must be willing to see any member of clinical staff.

Urgent Appointments: Requests for urgent appointments should be made, where possible before 10.30am and will be dealt with by a GP, who will contact you to assess the urgency of the request. Reception staff will ask you the reason for the urgent request and for a telephone number so the GP can ring you back, normally between 11.30am - 1pm. You should leave a contact number that receives incoming calls and make sure you are available to answer when the doctor rings.  Sometimes the doctor may decide your problem can be dealt with by telephone and you will not need to attend the surgery for an appointment.

Telephone Consultations/ Advice: If you need to speak to a GP for health advice, about test results, or to request a repeat sick line, you should contact reception any day before 10.30am.  These requests will be dealt with in the same way as urgent appointments.

Cancellations / Delays: It is helpful if you attend the surgery on time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to make another appointment.  Please let us know if you are unable to keep your appointment, so that we can offer it to another patient
